True Hire is dedicated to providing accurate information to our customers. Here’s how to notify us if you feel a change is necessary, as well as how to follow up on a dispute.

How can I fix an inaccuracy on my True Hire Background Check Report?
It’s easy for you to initiate an investigation regarding information on your report that you believe is inaccurate. True Hire is committed to providing accurate information and welcomes your help to ensure that your background check report is accurate and up-to-date. We have a 4-step process to facilitate dispute investigations so that resolutions are reached. Here’s how the process works:

Step 1: Identify the Innaccurate Information

You identify inaccurate information on your most recent True Hire Background Check report.

Step 2: Initiate a Dispute

Disputes can be submitted to True Hire through several formats: online, mail, or phone. True Hire cannot correct credit report innacuracies. Please contact the credit bureaus directly with the information provided below. When you submit a dispute to True Hire, you can choose from three methods:

True Hire customer service representatives are available to assist you with the dispute process, simply call toll-free at 1-800-262-7301. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET, excluding major holidays.

Credit Report Dispute Process

In order to dispute information on your credit report that True Hire has pulled, please contact the credit bureaus directly. True Hire cannot change information on your credit report.

There are three:


Step 3: We’ll Investigate

True Hire contacts the provider that reported the information and asks the provider to verify the information in question. The source might have up to 45 days to verify whether the information is correct.

Step 4: Check the Status of a Dispute

True Hire documents the outcome of the investigation and makes any necessary changes to your Background Check report. The data provider or source might have up to 45 days to verify the information. We’ll notify you of the outcome of your dispute approximately three to five business days after the investigation is complete. You may also call after 45 days at 1-800-262-7301 or send an email to disputes@true-hire.com.

If you submit more than one dispute at the same time, we will investigate all of the records in question during the same time period. At the conclusion of the investigation, you’ll receive a revised Background Check Report report reflecting all of the results.
